Sand Writing
Students can practice writing different things in the sand, instead of practicing on paper!

Things to practice writing in the sand:

  • ABC's (lower case, and upper case)

  • Digraphs (sh, wh, th, ch, -ck)

  • Words with digraphs in them (ship, sock, chick, etc)

  • Vowels (a,e,i,o,u) 

  • Words with vowels in them.. ask if they're long or short vowels

  • Missed spelling words from previous tests

  • Sight words (and, he, you, she, the, etc.)
